What do we need to use coOrgChart?
Microsoft 365 with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Entra ID, plus an administrator who can upload apps to the app catalog and approve API access. SharePoint Server (on-premises) is not supported.
Does coOrgChart store our data?
No. coOrgChart reads the directory with Microsoft Graph in the user’s browser and caches it only there: the directory for 12 hours by default (adjustable from 0 to 72), photos for 7 days. No names, photos or directory data are sent to compleo.
Which permissions does coOrgChart need?
Three delegated, read-only Microsoft Graph permissions: User.Read.All (people and managers), Presence.Read.All (Teams presence) and GroupMember.Read.All (only for group filters). An administrator approves them once.
Where do assistants and dotted-line managers come from?
From two Entra ID extension attributes of your choice: the assistant is entered on the manager, the dotted-line manager on the employee. If you already maintain such attributes for another org chart tool, they usually work unchanged.
Can we show people who are not in Entra ID?
Yes. Externals, freelancers and open positions are maintained in a SharePoint list that coOrgChart creates for you, including photo upload.
Does coOrgChart work in Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Add it as a tab in any team; it uses the full height of the tab.
Can we use our corporate design?
Yes. Colours, card style, card width, text size and fields are saved as themes, and each view can use its own. coOrgChart also follows your SharePoint theme.
How do updates work?
You upload the new package to your app catalog. All pages and settings stay as they are.
Who is behind coOrgChart?
compleo consulting GmbH, a Swiss company. We develop coOrgChart and provide support in English, German and French.
How are employees counted?
By the number of people in your organisation that coOrgChart shows – from Entra ID and from the additional employees list. Viewers are not counted and are unlimited.
Can I try coOrgChart first?
Yes. Every tenant can use coOrgChart free for 30 days with all features – no credit card and no obligation.
What happens after the purchase?
Right after the payment, Creem sends you the licence key and the invoice by email. Paste the key into the web part settings – it licenses all pages and Teams tabs in your tenant at once. If you are already using the trial, there is nothing to reinstall.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly plans end at the end of the month, yearly plans at the end of the year. coOrgChart keeps working until then.
What happens if the subscription ends?
coOrgChart shows a notice asking you to renew. Your pages and settings stay untouched and work again as soon as you renew.
Do we get an invoice?
Yes. Creem issues an invoice for every payment. For Enterprise plans we also offer payment by invoice.
